Reservations

Register for trips and theatre at the Senior Activity Center or on line by going to: fh.az.gov/recreation. There is a small fee for this service.

Trips must be paid for in order to register. If a trip is full, you may ask to go on the "waiting list" until something opens up. If you cancel when there is someone on the wait list who can use your ticket, you may be entitled to a refund or a credit against a future trip. Non-members may be charged an additional $5 fee for transportation for day trips.

Parking

Parking for bus trips is at the far south end of the library/museum parking lot. You will be given a small flyer to place on your dashboard, indicating to law enforcement that you are on a Senior Activity Center-sponsored trip.

Parking for all van trips is in the Community Center parking lot. No parking pass is needed.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund when Senior Services cancels the program, or apply the money to your account for another activity. A $10.00 administrative fee will be charged ALL refund requests for reasons other than the program being canceled by Senior Services. No refunds after the start of a program except for medical reasons or relocation out of the area. A doctor's note may be required. The refund will be prorated from the date of notification and the administrative fee will still apply. No refunds will be granted for trips unless the spot can be filled. The administrative fee will be waived if the individual chooses to transfer to another program or leave the credit on their account to be applied towards another program. Refunds of $10.00 or less will be credited to the individual's account and the credit may be applied to another program. Refunds are processed on the first of the month. It may take 4-6 weeks to receive the refund. Credit card refunds are issued on the day the refund request is approved and issued back to the card used for payment. All refund requests must be made in writing and submitted via mail, e-mail or fax to Senior Services located at 13001 N. La Montana Drive.

Trips and Theatre
    First Fridays at Fountain View - Friday, September 5, 2008.
    Fountain View Village has invited our members to come on the first Friday of each month to enjoy a great lunch in the Bistro at 1:00 p.m. with your choice of sandwiches or salads served with fruit or chips followed by the movie at 2:00 p.m. in their comfortable theatre. Pay for your lunch upon arrival at FVV (Conceirge desk). $5.00 fee includes lunch and movie. September 5th Movie is "The Long Shot." Sign up at the Senior Activity Center.
  • Organ Stop Pizza - Thursday, September 11, 2008.
    Great pizza and outstanding organ music. Finish off summer with this great indoor evening. Sing along with the crowd and eat a lot. Fee is $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members. Fee includes round-trip transportation only.
  • Wild Horse Pass Casino, Tuesday, September 22, 2008.
    3 hours of BINGO. Lots of slots! Receive $10 at the Casino. Fee is $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members. Fee does not include driver gratuity.
  • Page Springs Winery Tour, Friday, October 10, 2008.
    Go to the Camp Verde area to enjoy this winery tour and have a wine tasting with a complimentary glass. Cost for tour and tasting is $15.00 payable when you arrive. Lunch will be on your own at Grass Hopper Grill at noon. (information in our office) followed by the tour just down the road at 2:00 p.m. Trip cost is transportation only. Fee is $10.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members.
  • Fall Get-A-Way - Saturday, October 11, 2008.
    Enjoy a great fall day at the Pioneer Living History Village. Take a trolley ride to the various buildings and enjoy a street shoot out. Admission to village is $5.00 and the trolley ride is $2.00 (You pay the $7.00 upon entrance). Then off to Anthem just an hour away to start holiday shopping. Trip cost is for transportation only. Lunch is on your own. Member fee is $8.00. Non-member fee is $13.00.
  • "All Shook Up" at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre - Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
    Take our fall trip to the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre to see this musical with some of Elvis' greatest hits. Visit small town America to see the power of rock and roll and romance. Enjoy a great matinee and the food is great as well. Member fee is $58.00 and non-member fee is $63.00.
  • "Camelot" at Hale Centre Theatre - Saturday, October 18, 2008.
    Come enjoy this great classic with perfect stage views from every seat. It is a theatre in the round and is a great venue. It is a matinee performance so make your fall plans now for a relaxing and interesting Saturday afternoon. Member fee is $31 and non-member fee is $36.00. Fee includes transportation and this fabulous classic play.
  • Asarco Mine Tour - Wednesday, November 5, 2008.
    South of Tucson, tour this copper mining operation including a bus trip to the open pit, a tour of the production area and a visit to the visitors center with films. Admission is $6.00. Trip cost is transportation only. Lunch on your own at the Desert Diamond Buffet (Approximately $7.00). Member fee is $15.00 and non-member fee is $20.00.
  • Rockin' R Ranch - Saturday, November 21, 2008.
    Something new and fun for fall. Go to "Sweet Mary's Sweet Shop" or the "Saddle and Spur Saloon." At 6:30 enjoy a chuckwagon dinner of BBQ beef or chicken. At 7:30 PM enjoy a western stage show. Maybe even a wagon ride. Fee is $35.00 for members and $40.00 for non-members. Fee includes transportation, dinner and entertainment.
  • "Holly Jolly Christmas" at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre - Wednesday, December 3, 2008.
    Enjoy the fabulous professional entertainers at Broadway Palm as they perform some of your favorite holiday classics. Enjoy a great matinee and fabulous food as well. Great salad/main entree and dessert buffets. Member fee is $58 and non-member fee is $63.00. Fee includes transportation, fabulous food and outstanding performances in this great musical.
  • Tempe Festival of Arts and Crafts - Saturday, December 6, 2008.
    Mill Avenue extravaganza. This festival consistently ranks among the top 20 art festivals in the nation. Quality artists are fundamental to the success of this juried event. Live entertainment and a food court with seating in the shade for lunch on your own. Fee admission to the festival. Fee includes transportation only. Member fee is $5.00 and non-member fee is $10.00.
  • "Red Rock Fantasy" - Saturday, December 13, 2008.
    Take time out of your busy holiday schedule to go to Sedona to shop and see the famous light display at Los Abrigados Resort. The school bus will stop at Anthem for a pit stop and lunch, then on to Sedona and/or Tlaquepaque with time for dinner before the lights tour. Wear very warm clothing and good walking shoes. Fee is $30.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members.
  • "Glendale Glitters" - Friday, December 19, 2008.
    Downtown Glendale will be aglow with 1.5 million sparkling lights and Murphy Park will be filled with entertainment and food vendors. Dress warm and get your holiday season started. Fee is $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members.
  • "Laughlin Overnight" - Sunday-Monday, January 11th and 12th, 2009.
    Rolling on the river......bringing in the cash - this trip has it all. Take an after the holiday break and start your year off with a bang! Stay at the Colorado Belle but take time to visit the other casinos or just take a stroll along the river walk. Our trip host is Free Spirit Vacations. Fee is $59.00 per person double room and $69.00 per person for single rooms. Register at the Senior Activity Center. Obtain your parking pass when you register. Parking will be at the far end of the library parking lot closest to El Lago and La Montana.

    Visit one of the valley's most famous dinner theatres. Located in Apache Junction, this family owned theatre is in its 21st successful year. The entertainers rival any you will see in New York City and have national recognition. You will note that there are two bookings - this one in February and one in March. The reason is that they have one show on "even" numbered days and a different show on "odd" numbered days. Fee is $39.00 for members and $44.00 for non-members.
