PURPOSE:
To Provide nutritional meals for individuals of all ages residing in our community who are physically or mentally infirm.

ABOUT THE MEALS PROGRAM:
Meals are provided by Fountain View Village. Fee per meal is $6.50 per meal per day. Senior Services of Fountain Hills subsidizes some meals for those unable to self-pay. In addition, Area Agency on Aging subsidizes those who qualify in reimbursing the cost of their meals. Meals are delivered 7 days per week including all major holidays. Clients set the schedule for when they wish to receive meals. Some may want daily deliveries whereas others may wish to receive meals on alternate days.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Two teams of two deliver the meals. Volunteers meet at Fountain View Village's kitchen between 10:45-11:a.m. where hot entrée trays and cold "bag" foods are picked up for delivery. Each team of two delivers only once per month. Substitute teams are used when 'regular' teams are unavailable. Time frame for delivery is approximately 1-1/1/2 hours. Not much to ask and the satisfaction of delivering to our clients in rewarding.
